Mid century modern studio furniture solid walnut Pair of Arden Riddle Studio lounge Chairs. This is the model S511 armchair from the studio furniture maker Arden Riddle. Mr. Riddle crafted each piece out of his Ohio workshop from black walnut wood he sourced from his familys farm in West Virginia. This is a wonderful mid century modern design similar to Jens Risom. The chairs have been reupholstered in a nubby green and brown fabric, very similar to a fabric Mr. Riddle choose for his original pieces. This piece does not have a stamp on it but this isn’t uncommon for his pieces. We believe these chairs were produced in the late 1950s.
